Up Up and Away

Not surprisingly I have gained 2.5 lbs. Had another dreadful week - I really must get my head around the diet again and be a lot firmer with myself - and stop eating CRAP. No more to say this week except that I hang my head in shame :(

Hello!

Well, having not got back to my target pre-pregnancy weight (11st) since my Ginger Cake blog last year and having put a few pounds on over xmas and not lost them (been a bit stressed since then and have comfort-eaten through it but hey-ho, onwards and upwards), I'm trying blogging again. I'm not going to try any fad diets or counting points or anything as I don't need that - I know my weakness is eating rubbish and portion control (fnarr fnarr) ; every time I tip dried pasta or rice into boiling water, I always think it's too much but then eat the lot; every day I'm eating a chocolate snack bar, or a bag of crisps, or both; I'm not eating 5 portions of fruit and veg a day; I can't remember the last time I ate a piece of fruit tbh... and I KNOW I'm doing it and I know as I do it that I shouldn't. I know my diet has been pretty rubbish and my lack of energy and enthusiasm is partly a result of that - Aimee had to wake me up off the sofa this afternoon to cook her tea FFS!!! And this evening, after dropping Aimee at Mum's for the night and talking about dieting, I came home and polished off the Viennetta. There was more than half of it left, about 400cals. Pants (big ones at that).

Dreaming!

Now ??1.8!!
How cool is that? I am being very good, and because of the weddings am motivated. At this rate I might have lost a stone by Thurs- from 11th Jan to 11th Feb. Which, could mean that I COULD lose another 3 by said wedding.
I know, I know....aiming too high but it is a lovely dream. Feb is a short month so hope to do some power walking. Trouble is that I'm on me feet all day!! Desperate for a sit down after work. Perhaps I should get up an hour earlier.

This week doesn't count!

I stayed the same weight this week, which is really amazing. I fell off the wagon with a great thud last Thursday so didn't count points for the rest of the week and really thought I had gained. So staying the same is good. (It might show up next week though).
Will try harder this week but I have already had a danish pastry - and it's only Monday!

Very Chuffed.

Lost 1.9lb last week so 7.4lbs in all. Am thrilled. I need to get slim for A&D's wedding. Well, slimmer! Well done Judy. xxx

Slow but Sure

I only lost 1lb last week - disappointing. But I do not think I ate enough, I was about 15 points below my allowance for the week. So this week I will have my full 20 points a day and see what happens. Hope I don't gain.
I have got a 6-week target as I am taking 'Tea at the Ritz' on 17th March and I want to be able to fit into a dress without too many bulges showing!

Update 9.30pm I remembered the chocolate chip digestive biscuits in the cupboard - and ate 3. So now 1.5 points over for the day. Not a good start to the week :-(
