Week 5 - Clare

So I have just started week 5 of the diet. So far I have lost 16.5 lbs and I am feeling good! I plan to wear something disgustingly short and tight for halloween tomorrow as a reward to myself!

Slow Going

I only lost 1lb last week - but no worries, at least I am not gaining and I am quite happy with what I am, athough another few lbs off would be nice.

Off to Bridport for a few days this week so I don't expect any result next Monday.

How have you done?

2nd weigh-in - Clare

Went to LLL last night and I have lost another 4lbs! that is 10.5lbs in only 2 weeks. Not bad, not bad at all.

I am feeling better and can begin to experiment with the 'smaller' half of my wardrobe again, which is very nice!

The group is talking about 'crooked thinking' at the moment, which is thought that can affect your mood and habits, thus affecting eating as comfort/boredom/fun etc. It is all very interesting.

Anyway - I am pleased as punch and feeling much smaller. I just need to try and drink more flipping water!

Going Down Again - Total Loss 6lbs

Yey - I was 3lbs down this morning, making a total loss of 6lbs since I started on 7th Sept. I have had a good week with no major hiccups. I had a couple of lapses at the theatre during the evenings - tub of icecream one night and a bar of chocolate on another but I did add them to my daily points values. Neither of them bumped me over my daily allowance as fortunately I had had a very low point intake for those days.

Here beginneth another week ......

1st official weigh-in - Clare

61/2 lbs this week! Brilliant!!
I know that because it is my first week that I have lost more than usual, but hey - I can't stop smiling, anyway.
They say that you should expect to loose about a stone every 6 weeks once your body settles into it, but now only 1 & 1/2 stone to go!!

1st weigh-in - Clare

I am halfway through day 5 of the diet and popped into the LighterLife office for a check-up (they like to make sure that I am in ketosis, healthy & happy). They also weighed me and I am
4LBS DOWN IN 5 DAYS!!!
How good is that ?

I am so pleased, it is a big relief, although I do feel that I have 'de-bloated' alot.

Proper week 1 weigh in in Wednesday, then weekly from then on.

p.s. yummy chill & garlic king prawn and feta cheese salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing for dinner. = Goodtimes!

Not Surprising

Not at all surprised that I gained 2lbs last week. It was a pretty disastrous week diet-wise and I ate and drank with abandon - well, didn't drink with 'abandon' but had more wine than I usually do. But then - it was my birthday!

Back to the regime today so hopefully I will make up for my gain by next Monday.

A weekend camping....... - Clare

On Friday I went to Uffington camping.

I was worried about it because it was with all my 'drinking friends', but it went so well.

I had yummy, hearty porridge for breakfast everyday, a shake for lunch, homemade beefburgers and salad for dinner and then a nice soup in the evening around a campfire.

On Saturday, we went on a massive hike up a huge hill, we walked for miles and mile (lots of exercise) and ended up in a gorgeous country pub where everyone had huge lunches. Although they looked and smelt nice, I was quite happy with my shake and was quite amused with the 'coma' that everyone fell into after a huge lunch, while I was still happy to keep going and not even feeling hungry.

Today went well. I had a huge onion, mushroom & cheese omlette for dinner which was lovely. I am tempted to have it tomorrow, but instead I am going to have chilli prawns with a feta cheese salad.

I have my first weigh-in tomorrow and a 1-2-1 with the councillor which will be nice, I just hope I have done well.

p.s. A massive thank you to Mandy, who has called/text every day to make sure that I am ok, happy and on track.

Let Them Eat Cake

OK, so it's been my birthday week and I have had a friend staying. We have been out a lot and therefore eaten out and what with my birthday meal (and wine!) and the enormous cake I was given - I have given up pointing this week and will start anew on Monday.

I will get on the scales on Monday and be very honest!

Good for you Clare - but be careful.

Penny - how's it going?

Day 2 - Clare

I am feeling good at the moment, very motivated, perhaps a little tired and hungry, but motivated.

I know that the bad bits will pass in a day or 2 and I am really looking forward to feeling 'normal' again.

I am off camping tonight and have made my own beef burgers to BBQ using my daily allowance of protein. I can also have alot of salad with them and also some cheese on top as part of my dairy for the day - Goodtimes!

My first weigh-in is Monday night. At that point they will check that I am in ketosis and that everything is ok. I can also take that opportunity to take back any of the food packs that I don't want (mushroom - bluuugh).

Well wish me luck for the weekend, although I am sure that I will be fine.

Now I'm blogging!! - Clare

Ok - so, I am trying something new and have joined Lighterlife Lite.

It is very similar to the diet that Mandy does, the difference is I have 3 foodpacks instead of 4 and I have a daily allowance of protein, veg, fats & dairy which can be made into a meal.

I joined last night and I am ashamed to say that I weigh 12 stone 8lbs. 2 stone heavier than my lightest, this time last year.

I figured, if I am honest and tell everyone about my weight, then it would spur me on even more to loose it!!

The only issue with this diet is, I can't drink alcohol - but I am embracing it (it's a means to an end). I would rather be sipping 1 glass of wine come xmas in a size 10 dress, rather then binge drink through life as a heffer - right?)

Anyway, the first 3 days will be the hardest as I will be very hungry, but after that - it's a clear straight road ahead.

I'll keep you all posted!
